and Surveyor
The position of an estimator surveyor within GB Group is diverse and demanding.
The clientele of GB Group are specialised in their own particular sectors and particular knowledge of specialist fields
is a requirement of the role of estimator and surveyor with GB Group
High specification M + E services.

Innovative construction processes.
Types of project value will vary between £20,000.00. and £2million and
cover all types of construction process from refurbishment, fit out, conversion and new construction.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of labour constants and be able to work closely
with the company buyer or provide purchasing information from direct sources.
An element of multiple disciplinary cross over exists within the company structure whereby the estimator/surveyor is
also involved in the “procurement process” to assist the buyer and the project manager in the fulfilment of the
corporate objectives.
The role requires fulfilment of particular company requirements to visit each and every project during the tender process,
followed up during the construction phase for surveying duties on behalf of subcontractors and preparation and submission
of valuations.
Reporting directly to the Managing director this role is one with scope for development of existing knowledge and advancement
of a career in construction as the company grows towards the future.
The position would ideally suit a mature individual who has a proven track record in the industry.
The position available is based upon a contract of hours of 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, but as GB Group is a growing business the ability to improvise and commit to the requirements of
the company should be considered as above and beyond these hours.
The current holiday entitlements are 16 paid holiday days, plus the existing statutory 8 day public holiday entitlement,
with holiday days increasing by 1 day for each year of service up to a maximum of 10 days.
A discretionary profit award distribution scheme is available for the right candidate whereby the company commits to
an award scheme that is over and above their salary entitlement.
