Project manager
The position of a Project manager within GB Group is demanding.
The clientele of GB Group are specialised in their particular sectors and particular knowledge of specialist fields
is a requirement of the role of project manager with GB Group
Types of project value will vary between £20,000.00. and £2million and
cover all types of construction process from refurbishment, fit out, conversion and new construction.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of programming and delegation to coordinate construction
processes in order to maintain a consistent completion date in line with contract requirements.
An element of multiple disciplinary cross over exists within the company structure whereby the buyer will provide complimentary
information to the project managers in the procurement of services and materials for which the project manager will have a
delegated amount of responsibility.
The role requires the monitoring of the plant hire requirements on site on an ongoing basis.
The role will require the ability of a candidate to be able to manage a number of variable type projects spread across
a large geographical area.
The candidate must be computer literate and able to understand this forward technology.
The role requires the ability to be articulate and to be able to communicate fluently with contractors, suppliers,
professional team members and the client.
The role requires joint coordination of a growing direct labour force with associate project managers.
Reporting directly to the Managing director this role is one with scope for development of existing knowledge and advancement
of a career in construction as the company grows towards the future with the role of “construction manager” being
developed.
The position would ideally suit a mature individual who has a proven track record in the industry.
The position available is based upon a contract of hours of 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, but as GB Group is a growing business the ability to improvise and commit to the requirements of
the company should be considered as above and beyond these hours.
The current holiday entitlements are 16 paid holiday days, plus the existing statutory 8 day public holiday entitlement,
with holiday days increasing by 1 day for each year of service up to a maximum of 10 days.
A discretionary profit award distribution scheme is available for the right candidate whereby the company commits to
an award scheme that is over and above their salary entitlement.
